I just wanted to take a minute to write down some of the things I'm thankful for. I didn't get any sleep last night and woke up with a really sore neck and ALMOST didn't go to church but then sweet Remi came in my room wearing her heels and kept saying she wanted to go. I knew I had to snap out of whatever depression was weighing on me and strong arm my legitimate reasons for staying in bed and jump right on this because the twins have so much social/separation anxiety. I said a little prayer and selfishly hoped that by making myself go (just to sit in the mother's lounge the whole time) that I would be blessed and be more patient with the girls this week and have extra strength to be a little bit better as I have been struggling. I got everyone ready just in time and headed off feeling nauseas and ugly inside and out. I didn't have time to shower, pluck my unibrow, put on make up, fix my hair or spend much time trying to find something decent to wear out of the very few clothes that fit me.

I am so grateful for my sassy little girls that wear heels and "lippys". I'm so grateful I made it there to hear the lesson about finding joy even when we are struggling. I am grateful for the friend that offered to have all the girls over to play this week so I could have a break. I'm grateful for the mom who held my baby (and saved my aching back) all 3rd hour so that I could hear that lesson. I am grateful for the sisters who shared their personal experiences. I'm grateful for my friend who shared that she seriously felt that life was something that we just had to get through as fast and as best we could...white knuckles and all until she realized there really was so much joy along the way. I am grateful for the quiet time in class that I was able to spend sitting next to my husband. I am grateful for wonderful teachers who love my kids and made their classes fun today with treats and masks. And mostly I am grateful that despite all the yucky feelings I had today and my reluctance to make it to church that I was able to feel the spirit today and how much I am loved. I felt really taken care of and loved  today with all of the tender mercies I was given. I hope that I can continue to try everyday to be a good momma and look for the good more than the negative. ❤
