Cat and Mouse Halloween!

Re-creating things you find on Pintrest is always harder than it looks but I had to try to get a pic of my cute little pumpkins.

Everyone trick or treated. Weslie knocked on the door at one of our first houses and totally farted right there on the porch. I asked her if she farted and she smugly said, "Yeah." All on video-right before the homeowners answered the door. She is so funny.

When we circled back to Grammy's house there was another trick or treater going up to the door so we just waited. Grandpa answered and Wes took a few more treats and then stated, "I'll come in." and in she went.

Too Hot for Fall

I love the fall...but this 80 degree weather is really cramping my style. Luckily we were able to sneak off to the Arboretum this week to brighten our spirits.

Frozen Party

We decided to throw a big party for all 3 girls this year. I think it turned out so cute! We are so grateful to have had so many friends and family come to celebrate with us. Sophie picked away at her smash cake and let dad paint her face with frosting. Remi hated the cake. Poor Rem was teething and hurting all day. Weslie got to wear an Elsa dress and play with all her friends. She got 2 more cats for her Birthday and is in love.

Weslie is 3

She is the size of a 5 year old
LOVES cats and has a whole pack of them
Thinks she's too busy for meals
Loves jumping, hide and seek, pudding, snuggling in blankets, soda, playing with the big kids, going to Costco with Grandpa, being helpful and painting.

She is so sweet and knows how to work her dad over. She keeps us in check and we are lucky to have her. The babies sure love playing with her and watching her.

Sophie & Remi Turn ONE

I can't believe these girls are one. They have been a dream! They are so easy going and just respond to love. They love being held and loved on but they also love just looking and watching everything around them. They are getting more and more mobile every day.

Soph is soft spoken. She loves "adventure dining", and snuggling her sock monkey. She also loves splashing in the tub and crawling around following Weslie.
Nene (Remi) has the cutest squeaky voice. She loves singing and talking with her mouth closed. When she crawls she curls her toes so her little piggies don't touch the floor. She loves eating almost everything.
I love these little babies so much. We are so lucky to have them. They are so different and it has been such a joy to come to know them both and watch their personalities blossom.

Loosing Weslie

I am writing this story down so I don't forget it.

A couple weeks ago I had my fall candle going in my house and started the day off in a really great mood. It was a cooler day so I decided to get the girls dressed in some fall clothes. I then realized that I didn't have a spare sheet for Weslie's big girl bed and that I should probably get one before I leave town for my surgery. Since we were all dressed I decided that day was a Target day.

Not long after we arrived at Target Weslie ran ahead of me a little bit. "You have to stay by me." I warned. She looked back and smiled as if to say, "I can do whatever I want." Then she ran off. I watched her from a distance, as I was not going to run after her with the limo I drive (the girls huge stroller). I lost her in my line of sight for half a second and she was gone. I walked the neighboring aisles calling for her and asked a few people if they had seen a little girl. After a few minutes I decided to go to the front of the store.

There was a long line for customer service. I cut everyone and approached a large grouchy lady. "Hello." I smiled. "Hi" the lady mumbled, clearly irritated. "I've lost my child." I stated. She quickly perked up and before I knew it she was saying "We have a code yellow." Over the radio. She asked what she was wearing etc. and I had to tell her that she's almost 3 but looks like she's 5. She was lost for about 10 minutes. I was panicked but kept my cool. I was most afraid that she wasn't in the store and that she had gone right out the front door. I was about to loose it and go out and check the parking lot when the lady told me that they'd found her. Secretly I was hoping that they found her scared and crying in a corner somewhere (So that she would never do it again!!).

That was not the case. They found her in the furniture section lounging on a little mini pink chair meant just for a little girl like her with a dream light toy she had picked up on the way. She was excited to see me. I got down on her level and tried to explain how scared I was because she was lost but she was too busy and excited trying to tell me about the dream light toy she had found.

That girl has no fear of loosing me.

August

Life has been pretty routine around here the last few months- other than going to Utah. But I do try to get out of the house and do things with the girls as much as we can. Sometimes I feel like I can get out of the house no problem with the twins and other times I feel completely trapped at home. This month I felt trapped. The girls are learning how to self feed with more solid foods (not attempting utensils just yet!) and so it takes a long time for them to eat. I feel like they wake up and eat- then they play while I clean up all of the food that ended up on the floor so they don't get into it and then they are almost ready to go down for a nap. And repeat. They take 2 naps usually 3hrs and then 2hrs. It's awesome that they nap a lot but I feel like we can never do anything on this schedule! And no, they don't sleep anywhere but their bed. They mastered crawling shortly after getting back from Utah and love moving around and looking at everything. They also love following me. They haven't found the stairs yet so that's good! They love practicing standing and walking- even though I don't have the most coordinated children. I love watching them play-especially when Wes includes them.

The ice cream bowl started off in front of Grandpa...

I love this guy.
My parents got moved into their new house so that has been fun. I also shoot another wedding. I decided I don't really want to pursue anything video related right now. It's just so stressful and I have enough going on. If something falls into my lap I will do it-it's such a fun hobby but not something I can really commit to right now.

The best thing about August was getting Weslie a big girl bed. When she walked into the surprise she said, "It's perfect." haha too cute! Happy super early Birthday Wes :)

July-Utah Trip 2014

We are seriously the luckiest parents in the world when we travel. We have yet to have a bad flight with our girls! We flew into Utah getting there at 2AM Texas time and had to leave the house for our departure flight at 4AM and they were AWESOME!

We got to see lots of our best friends and our family out there. There was lots of down time to relax and visit with everyone and I got to eat lots of Cafe rio and my other Utah favorites :) That made me one happy mom. The girls loved having so many people to watch and new places to see. They did great and Wes didn't get homesick for her bed at all this trip!

We got to spend a fun day at the zoo with aunt Bal and Weslie even touched a snake! Yikes.

What's better than lounging with Socks and enjoying chicken nuggets while watching TV in Bal's bed after a long day at the zoo? When I checked on her she whispered, "Mommy he's so warm." I love her and she loves her cats. :) What a tender girl.

We got to see lots of our best friends while we visited. Lots of swimming, play and laughing! Weslie even discovered snaps while she was there. She and Tenley had fun popping them :)

Pretty good group picture for 5 kids under 3!
We sure love the Searle's! Please move to Texas!

Weslie loved playing at Bridal Veil falls. Throwing rocks and splashing in freezing water is always a fun time.

We had some free time one afternoon so we decided to take the girls to temple square. We had to snap a few photos since it was Soph and Rem's first visit.

Kevin and my dad also snuck away to St. George for a few days and did an awesome repelling trip with some of the Ricks guys! I'm thinking that next time I want to go!

It was such a fun break from our normal life. My only regret is that we didn't get more pictures with our family members!!
