Halloween

These three girls were the cutest trunk or treaters at the ward party. We have another trunk or treat tomorrow and Halloween still left so we are getting lots of use out of these costumes! On Sunday we carved a pumpkin together and Soph would have nothing to do with touching the guts.
We've got lots of fun things to keep us busy the next few days, including the primary program this weekend, but we will be glad when November gets here. We are ready for baby snuggles any day now!

37 Weeks

I'm officially full term! I celebrated by enjoying crepes with a good friend. I was nesting like crazy today so I asked Kevin to check with the carpet people to see if anyone had cancelled and we could get ours sooner and somehow we are now getting carpet tomorrow instead of the 4th. What are the odds of that working out!? I feel like baby is coming very soon. I have my hospital bag packed and ready to go with one boy outfit and one girl outfit. Tomorrow night is the ward trunk or treat and after that we'll be ready for baby anytime!
I am taking baths about every other night now to help with my restless legs. Baby loves laying on my right side. The twins can't wait to give baby the little lamb we got for him/her. I am really over the exhaustion and heart burn. My next doctor appointment is tomorrow-fingers crossed for news of progression.

Halloween Party and Pumpkin Patch

I wanted to do something fun for the girls before baby comes so we had a Halloween party! Since there were 11 kids it was pretty hectic and I hardly got any pictures but it was fun. Weslie is a witch this year so we had witch hat and broomstick snacks and we played limbo with her witch's broom. Sophie and Remi said their favorite part of the party was coloring pumpkins.

Weslie's favorite part was playing musical chairs. Sophie was a little shy during the games but Remi totally rocked it! We also made cute "monster" cookies. The party only lasted an hour and it was just right. I sure love those girls. I can't wait to get a better picture of them in their costumes...stay tuned.

We have really been missing dad lately and needed a break from all the stress, so on Sunday we skipped stake conference and checked out the Flower Mound pumpkin patch.

It was $10 for weekend parking and everything else was free! We ended up staying for 2 hours even though it warmed up to 88 degrees while we were there, yuck! I'd say the drive was worth it.

This is the best I could get of all of us riding the barrel train.

Remi looks just like me when I was little in this one.

Mini Van Status/Anniversary

Well it's official, we have a mini van! I am not thrilled about the situation but I am grateful it is checked off the huge to do list and we can now all ride together when baby comes. I was crushed when we made a last minute decision to trade in the civic. That was my first car and I loved it. I have so many memories with that car from road trips with Kevin to leaving our wedding reception to driving to Park city hospital to meet our Wes. It was hard to let it go but it was best for our situation.

So we said goodbye to my first little car and said "Happy 7 year anniversary to us!" By upgrading to a van! Man we are getting old. This year we have really learned to deal with stress together and how to lean on each other when one is busier/stressed. We were happy to celebrate this year by being a great team and getting lots of stressful things checked off our list. We also shared a delicious molten lava cake and watched the new Poldark episode and that's good enough for me!

Chloe + Justin

Last week my baby sister got married. I still can't believe it! Welcome to the family Justin!!! My pregnancy was too far along and high risk for me to be able to attend the wedding which I still can't even believe. I tried to stay busy that day but I was still completely crushed I was missing the biggest day of my best friend's life. My dad FaceTimed me lots after they came out of the temple and at the luncheon which was bitter sweet. Chloe looked so happy and I'm glad I could be there electronically but it definitely made me totally jealous that I was missing out on all the fun! Chloe looked gorgeous and so genuine. It was never about all the superficial stuff with them, and that was really cool to see her so grown up.
Luckily Chloe, Justin and his parents were willing to come out to Dallas for their endowments so I was able to be there for that. They both went through for the first time together on Friday, September 30th. It meant so much to me that I could at least support her and share that experience with her. She looked like an angel in her beautiful temple dress! It was such a wonderful day for the whole family. I sure love my Chloe and I am so excited for her and Justin to start this new chapter.

Birthday Week

Birthday celebrations lasted a whole week at the Smith house this year. It was fun but I sure am glad it's over! We started by having a family Birthday party at Grammy's house while family was in town. This was their big party with candles and presents. They were spoiled with lots of new clothes for winter and lots of Barbies. They loved having aunt B and Uncle Justin there to celebrate. The twins insisted that everyone got one of their cupcakes.

Two days later (Sunday) it was the twins actually Birthday so I put streamers on their door and made a special breakfast. Packages from grandparents and cupcakes from Aunt Erinn showed up over the next two days to keep the party going.

Wednesday was Weslie's Birthday so we put streamers on her door, which she did not like and tore down and threw away immediately haha. It was a school day so the twins and I took cupcakes to her class at the very end of the day. The class sang "Happy Birthday" to her and that was probably the highlight for her. She thought that was the coolest thing ever.

Sisters thought visiting school was pretty cool

Then on Friday (exactly one week later) we had a little party with their friends to end all the celebrations. It was supposed to be a casual play date at the park with cupcakes and a piñata but it rained and got moved to our house. It suddenly turned into a full blown party when a friend  brought their bounce house to share and officer Sam came and made an appearance with the police car. They didn't know what to do with so many friends over at once! They had a blast, especially with the piñata. All the kids got a turn to hit it and then Weslie busted it open! We are so lucky to have been in such great wards and have so many great friends for our girls. I cannot believe they are so big. Happy Birthday darlings!
