Thanksgiving was siblings only this year in Austin and it was a blast! Erinn made a beautiful spread and the food was all delicious. We swam, roasted marshmallows, played, relaxed and let the cousins make lots of memories while Christmas music played almost the whole time in the background. It couldn't have been more perfect! Well maybe it could have been, if Weslie hadn't of landed on Eliot's head in the pool and had to get stitches for a split chin. She handled it like a champ though. In Austin there is a cool tradition where people decorate trees on the side of the roads and there were tons of decorated trees everywhere. I loved it! The kids all got to help decorate one in the neighborhood and they loved that. We were all sad when it was time to go, but we were excited to get home and get our Christmas tree set up.
This year I am especially grateful for growing opportunities, even when they're hard. I feel like Kevin and I have grown so much individually and as a team this year and it's been awesome. I'm also very grateful for the blessings that come from tithing. Weslie said she was grateful for everything, Sophie said she's grateful for family. Remi said she is grateful that her family fills her bucket...which was really touching to me. We read a book about how everyone has invisible buckets and when we are kind to others it fills their bucket as well as our own. So it was really meaningful that she remembered that.
