Arboretum Fall Fest

Today we went to play among the 50,000 pumpkins at the arboretum. This place is GORGEOUS. It's perfect for taking pictures. We will be getting a season pass in the spring. It far exceeded my expectations. It was cold when we got there but it warmed up quite a bit. I wish we could've stayed there to walk around all day. I'd recommend it to all my mom friends for sure. I know I always post too many pictures but I just don't know how to choose!

Trunk or Treat

Saturday was our ward Trunk or Treat. Unfortunately we didn't stay long enough to get any candy but it was fun to go and mingle and watch our little fairy run around.

Fall Fest

On Saturday we headed over to meet some friends at the last minute at a free fall fest. It ended up being a blast. We especially loved the petting zoo!

Aquarium Trip

On Saturday we went to the Dallas Aquarium. It was a little pricey but so worth it! I would definitely recommend it to any young mommas in the area. The whole building was filled with trees and plants and wildlife. This was way better than the zoo! Air conditioning and less walking is always great. They had lots of animals and exhibits on the top floors including crocodiles, leopard, sloths (even one out in the open that you could reach up and touch), lots of birds, turtles, penguins and tons more! They had lots of pretty tropical fish, glow in the dark fish and jelly fish. My favorite was the tunnel with the sharks and rays. They had some pretty good sized ones swimming all around. Weslie loved looking at everything, except the very last exhibit. Try as we might we could not get her to look at the penguins swimming around. It was the only part that was outdoors. I would love to live in the apartment building right next door with that view!

Weslie's First Birthday Party

Because of conference weekend not many of our friends were able to come so it ended up being our family and a few close friends which was perfect. We ate and talked and laughed. Poor little Wes was a little tired and her teeth were hurting but she was still a champ and enjoyed having everyone there to see her more than anything. She didn't want to get her hands dirty so she went right for the cake with her mouth. She is definitely "Cute as a Button". Now the party is over and the reality has set in that she's a little one year old now. It was a bittersweet day.
