Little People Interviews

I'm only like 6+ months late posting these but it's better late than never right? They have already changed a TON...especially Soph and Roo.

I interviewed the twins at 2.5 and tried to ask the same things I asked Wes at that age. Things didn't go as smoothly. I posted Weslie's 2.5 interview below for a fun comparison (and because she was so tiny and cute!)

Here is Weslie's new interview I did at the same time, 4.5 years old.

Preschool 2016

This year is Weslie's first year at a real preschool. She has school M/W for about 5 hours. She gets to eat lunch there and go to special classrooms for music and Spanish. Last week Kevin and I took her to meet her teachers and check out her new classroom. She went on a little scavenger hunt to find her little cubby and explore the classroom. We were glad to find out that she has 3 friends in her class from her old preschool and/or church.

On Sunday night Kevin gave her a sweet school blessing. It really meant a lot to her and she even kept her eyes closed the whole time. Afterwards she kept talking about her "special prayer."

Today was the first day. She wore a cute new outfit...pink of course. I could tell she was a little nervous but she was also very excited, especially about her lunchbox and water bottle.

I can never get this girl to talk about anything. After school I tried to get as much info from her as I could but I could tell she was exhausted from such a big day. She seemed like she really liked school and her teacher said she had an awesome first day. Yay for Weslie! I am so excited for all the experiences she will have this year and how much she is going to grow.

Chloe's Bridal Shower

Marcy helped me throw Chloe an adorable kitchen themed bridal shower. Everything was perfect! She had lots of friends come and support her and received lots of great gifts. She was just beaming talking about Justin. Oh to be young again. We love our Chloe so much and we are so excited for them!

The Rest of July

I am so glad July is over. It is just too hot to do anything here! Despite the heat we were able to get some carrots and tomatoes to grow in our garden. I am so proud of those tomatoes!

I am 24 weeks now and LOVING slurpees. My doctor says I am not gaining enough weight but I feel pretty good. I am still throwing up about once a week but I am not nearly as nauseas as I have been in past pregnancies. Here are the girls on 7/11 day eating their free slurpees. It turns out they love them almost as much as I do.

Weslie has been doing gymnastics this month and she loves it! Sadly, it is over for the summer. She definitely likes gymnastics more than she likes ballet so we will have to keep that in mind for next year. All 3 girls took on swimming lessons this month with Mrs. Melissa. They LOVED her by the end. (Have I mentioned that the twins are growing leaps and bounds socially?! They even go to nursery now). They did so great with the lessons. I am pretty confident that if Sophie or Remi fell in the pool they would be able to get to safety. They love swimming under water and floating on their backs. They can hold their breath and reach the pool rings on the very bottom step. They are fine without their water wings as long as I am there to help them. I don't ever want to put the wings back on! Weslie can dive and get the rings from the bottom of the pool. She can swim all the way across with her face in and come up for air when she needs to. She was so scared to swim without her wings when we started lessons but now she is a little fishy. I am so proud of her and it is awesome to see her excitement and pride at overcoming that fear and having more independence in the pool.

Other things that happened this month:
We FINALLY got our windows put in! What a relief it is to have that mess over with and some natural light in the house again.

We had a fun last minute lunch with our favorite police officer after the Dallas police shootings happened.
Weslie cut her hair. Luckily it wasn't too bad!

I got to see my old roommate Michelle while she was in town, which is always awesome!
And Wes lost her 3rd tooth!
The tooth fairy brought Chuck-E-Cheese gold coins this time. Wes and I went on a special date and loaded up on some prizes!
