Our New Addition

Meet Bankston Smith, we call him Banks for short.
He is our sweet little maltipoo boy. This little 3 pounder joined our family on Saturday and puppy training is now in full swing. Weslie and Banks LOVE each other, so that is a relief. I have a lot on my plate managing my time with 2 babies and constant potty training but it has been fun. He is a momma's boy for sure. We love him already. He is going to be a great addition to our family!

Recipe Challenge

Now that we are finally settled into our own place again I decided that it was time to buckle down on our bad eating out habit. It's always been convenient and fast and especially nice with all the moving around we've done in the past 2 years, but eating out really adds up and I hate dragging Weslie out to eat a ton. She's much rather play at home in her jammies than be strapped into a high chair. So I decided that I was going to cook. Yes me, in the kitchen. I pulled out all of the recipe books we got from our wedding and marked all the potential recipes. I promised myself I would go through and make all of them so we would have to start eating at home again. At times it has been a challenge. We've had lots of failures, and I'm going to blame them on the recipes, but the successes have been well worth it. I figure now is as good a time as any to start building a good collection in my cook book. Once we start having more kids I will have even less time to experiment! It's a work in progress but here are some pictures of some of the treats I snapped!

Happy 4th

We had a nice relaxing day. We started at our ward breakfast where Wes got her face painted for the first time. The kids in our ward did a little bicycle parade in the parking lot and Weslie LOVED watching it! She was so excited with all the action. After that we headed over to grandma and grandpa's and all took a nap. Later on we swam and had a nice BBQ with Sam's family. We ended the day perfectly by doing sparklers. It was a nice, low key holiday.

9 Months

Weslie is learning new things everyday and figuring out how to get mobile. She loves playing games and practicing standing up on her own. She does not like rice cereal or any kind of textures in her baby food lately. This month we went to a "Little Gym Big Muscles" class together. It was a blast! This girl is always ready for fun. She keeps me active. She is so special and we are so lucky to have her in our family. She is always the center of attention everywhere we go and I love it! I love taking her everywhere with me whether its something fun or just to run errands. She's my little buddy and I love being with her all the time. There's nothing better than seeing her smile and knowing she's happy.
