I will be posting about Christmas soon. In the meantime here are some videos of the little lady. She loves to slide. Northpark mall has the smallest slide I've ever seen! It's just her size and small enough that she doesn't slide too much and loose her balance. She just kept going back to it over and over again! I tried to be a crafty fun mom and make the bath paints I saw on Pintrest. I thought since Wes enjoys slime-ing her food all over the table she might like slime-ing paint around. Wrong. She was not interested at all and didn't want to get dirty, even with coaxing. That one was a fail. Maybe in a few more months we can try to use her bath crayons she got for Christmas.

Update
Tomorrow I am filming a wedding and I couldn't be more excited! I can't wait to have my own business. I love editing videos, especially wedding videos! I am so nervous about going out on this limb. If I fail and don't make a successful business or it turns out I'm not as good at this stuff as I would like then I will be so embarrassed and sad. But luckily I have a very supportive husband who has helped me get the ball rolling so I have mustered the courage to actually get a website set up (more info on that once it's up and running) and start a real thing here!

Terrible, no good, very bad day
I always knew this day would come and I have always dreaded it. I was not expecting it to come so soon. Wes seemed fine all morning but when we headed out to the grocery store Poor Weslie threw up all over my mom's car . It was everywhere! Throwing up always hurts and she looked really scared and confused about what was happening. It broke my heart and kept me from going into complete panic and shock at what had just happened. So I drove all the way home holding my breath and having to listen to her cry and sit in her mess. Poor little girl. For those of you who don't know me very well, I have a VERY weak stomach and I am a germ freak so I was not very excited to face the mess. I put walmart shopping bags (I was so unprepared for this moment) on my hands and pulled her out, got her undressed and in the bath. I put her to sleep and she rested. Then I had to face the mess again. I actually did better with it than I thought I would. I held my breath and muscled through it one thing at a time. I stole my neighbor's hose and sprayed down the carseat and left it out in the rain. (Today we went and got the car cleaned and also re-washed the carseat cloth and pressure washed the actual seat. What a mess!) After her nap she still had chills and no appetite. She layed around for a few hours and I pumped her full of liquids. She just sat around with no energy, but didn't cry at all. What a brave girl.
We had been checking her temp periodically through the evening but it kept giving normal or lower than normal temps and she was burning up. Our thermometer was a cheap piece and I knew it had to be wrong. Maybe it was my intuition but I sent Kevin to the store to get a nice infrared thermometer, even if it was just for my peace of mind. When we took her temp with that it said 103!! So we rushed to take her to the nearest CareNow. Where we waited as fast as we could.
The doc stuck a tiny Q-tip way up into her brains while I tried to hold her best I could. So sad. Lucky the tests came back negative for flu and a rash thing. So we got an Rx for an anti-biotic and headed home to go to bed.
Today she woke up happy as ever with no fever or chills, just a little occasional coughing. I'm so glad the heartbreak is over and my baby is feeling better. Today was a much better day than yesterday! Love her!

Sunday Rounds
Sometimes I wonder why we even stay at church past sacrament meeting when all we do is continuous laps around the church with Weslie. Today was no exception. During the third hour we left Relief Society about 20 min early and started up the rounds again. Wes was sporting a giant pink tutu today and she got many comments. She decided to stop in one of the foyers where there were many people from another ward waiting to go into the chapel. Over the speakers 2 little girls started singing solos. Their little voices were so sweet. Weslie looked up to the speakers and smiled. Then she started dancing round and round in circles. All eyes were on her as usual. There was a sweet calmness as we all stood there watching her. Everyone was sweet to her and were willing to share their books, toys and smiles with her. When she was done she went around to visit with all the strangers. Kids would come through and say, "Aww, she's so cute."
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I was glad we stayed all 3 hours. Even in the hall during the 3rd hour I was able to feel the sweet peace that the savior brings into each of our lives. I was able to recognize good in every person that Wes came in contact with and not think any negative thoughts about anyone because they were so willing to be kind to my little baby. And I was able to reflect on how lucky I am to have such a sweet, pure and perfect little girl in my life. She gives and loves without any reserve. She is an example to me and a light in my life.

My Weslie Girl
We have been on the go nonstop the last few weeks, and although it was fun, I find myself just wanting to cuddle up with my snoops the last few days. I've been sick all week and trying to catch up from being out of town and haven't really gotten to play with her as much as we're used to :( Yesterday she went to Grammy's while I finally got some rest. I was glad to sleep but I missed that little darling. She has been so giggly lately. She thinks she is better at walking than she is and I love it. She's so wobbly, especially when she tries to run! She needs me and I need her. While we were in California last week something occurred to me that I hadn't thought about before. She has chosen me to be her comfort item. There is no blankie, no pacifiers, no stuffed animal companions, no thumb sucking, just me. In some ways she is mine too. I love snuggling my little snoops. She prefers to do everything herself and be independent but still keeps me right there at arms length. She loves Peppa Pig, dancing, playing "chase" and inspecting new objects in her tiny hands. We are working on self feeding with utensils and learning new words, but if she's not ready quite yet that's okay too. I'll keep her small as long as I can.

Arboretum Fall Fest
Today we went to play among the 50,000 pumpkins at the arboretum. This place is GORGEOUS. It's perfect for taking pictures. We will be getting a season pass in the spring. It far exceeded my expectations. It was cold when we got there but it warmed up quite a bit. I wish we could've stayed there to walk around all day. I'd recommend it to all my mom friends for sure. I know I always post too many pictures but I just don't know how to choose!
Trunk or Treat
Saturday was our ward Trunk or Treat. Unfortunately we didn't stay long enough to get any candy but it was fun to go and mingle and watch our little fairy run around.
