Melinda got married over the weekend so we made a family trip out to Cali. The babies were a dream on their first plane ride and Wes only got fussy at the end. They were all REALLY great on the trip. Wes was tired, but for a 2 year old, a 2-hour time difference, lots of action and late nights I'd say a few tantrums are understandable. The babies hardly fussed at all. They just love to watch everything and see new people. They love being held and just respond to love. I think they were held so much that they were almost just as happy to roll around and play with their toys on their own. They slept on the go whenever they could and slept like rocks at night. Maybe I should wear them all out everyday :) Seriously, everyone loved seeing them and they loved everyone.

We did lots of fun things with Wes this trip. I think it is so fun to show her new things. The highlights for her were:
Playing in the sand (the loud, cold waves were a little scary)
Tickle fights with Pappy
Getting Nana's Bouquet
Playing with Valentina
Getting an "Elsa" balloon
The hardest thing was being away from her own bed at night. She got a little homesick, but she was too worn out at night for it to be too much of an issue.
It was wonderful to attend the sealing with all the family and the reception was beautiful. We were able to spend lots of time with them and the extended family. We also had lots of time for just the five of us and also time with Kevin's dad and their family. It was a great trip and just the right length of time.
