Snow Daysss

Moccs sure are cute in the snow

It seems like if it's going to snow in Texas it always seems to come in February. We got a few snow/ice days this year and we were completely unprepared. The girls were outgrowing their winter clothes so we had to get a little creative to stay warm. (We had a 75 degree day the previous week so I wasn't about to go out and buy more winter clothes!!)

Kevin had to work from home a little bit against his will during the icy mornings. I liked having him here, but he didn't get a lot of work done.

The first snowy day Kevin helped Weslie make a little snowman. She was so excited about the whole thing.

 After that there was lots of hot chocolate with whipped cream and lots of winning to go back outside.
The next day we all got in the car in our PJs and headed over to our friends house. Lots of our friends gathered there so all the kiddos had a blast playing inside together while the mommies got to visit.

The next snowy day I actually let the babies play in the snow. They were so intrigued by the snow that the cold didn't seem to bother them at all. Sophie sat right in the snow in her little leggings and played and played until I made them all come in so they wouldn't get sick. It snowed all day long. We spent the whole day lounging around with our good friends the Moons. There were even cookies and homemade chicken noodle soup involved.

On the last snow day Kevin spent the morning working from home so I got to sneak out with Weslie during nap time. The snow was actually really deep in some areas (maybe even a whole foot!). We tried to go sledding but the basket tipped over with the slightest bump. We had fun anyway and both enjoyed the one on one time.

We would love to live somewhere with snow. Maybe someday?
