Baby-to-be is just over two inches long, about the size of a lime. It's starting to look more like a baby instead of a peanut. The most dramatic development this week is reflexes.
This morning we got up bright and early to head to the doctor's office. This has basically been the only appointment we'd had since we first found out we were pregnant so it was really exciting to hear all the progress we'd made. At the end of the visit we finally got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. It was just a quiet little thudding going super fast! It was so sweet. We just listened quietly for a few moments. The doctor said that everything sounded healthy and normal which was a relief. Hearing the heartbeat today definitely makes feeling so yucky worth it.
So true. I remember having that exact same feeling - because suddenly it was alot more real and that trumped the realness of the morning sickness!
